2025 VISION Awards Announcement

Dear KSEA Members,

The Young Generation Committee within the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) is seeking to recognize all those who have made this community possible—our high-impact leaders, volunteers, mentors, connectors, visionaries, inclusivity champions, emerging leaders, and outstanding YG Groups. To celebrate and acknowledge these incredible individuals, we are seeking nominations for the 2025 VISION Awards.

Nominees reflect any of the following values and priorities through their current or past work for our community:

• (V) Visionary: Recognizes those that contribute to our future through innovation, imagination, vision, initiative, and successfully executes the innovative vision.
• (I) Inclusivity: Recognizes individuals or groups who have fostered a welcoming and supportive environment promoting mutual respect, cross-cultural engagement, and meaningful participation across all members of the community.
• (S) Sustainability: Recognizes those that help anchor the growth and longevity of our community through mentorship, people development, culture, and support.
• (I) Impact: Recognizes those that have made a significant contribution to our community through their leadership.
• (O) Outreach: Recognizes those that have helped bridge the communities and sub-communities inside and outside of KSEA, such as intergenerational, intercultural, interdisciplinary, or with other organizations.
• (N) Neo: Recognizes those who are supporting the development of the rising generation, including emerging leaders.

YG Group Awards: Recognizes outstanding YG Groups that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and involvement with KSEA and their respective communities.

Nominations can be submitted through the following forms  Friday, May 16, 2025. All KSEA members are welcome to nominate outstanding individuals who have contributed to the KSEA community. You may nominate more than one individual submitting the form multiple times.

FAQ

Q: Can we nominate individuals who received the award in previous years?
A: You may nominate outstanding individuals regardless of past award recipient status, especially if it is for another category.

Q: Are considered contributions limited to 2025?
A: No, there is no time limitation to the contributions made the candidate. Any work/activity from the past will be considered.

Q: How will they be announced?
A: Award recipients will be announced in the KSEA e-Letters and on our social media platforms.

Q: Who will decide the awards?
A: The VISION Awards team consists of members past and present of the YG Committee. They will carefully consider the recipients of each award.
